Eldeen E. Pozniak BA, BSc, CEES, CHSC, CHSMSA, CRSP

Eldeen, a Canadian Register Safety Professional (CRSP), a Certified Health & Safety Consultant (CHSC), & a Certified Health & Safety Management System Auditor (CHSMSA), has a diverse educational background. She has attained both a Bachelor of Arts Degree & a Bachelor of Science Degree at the University of Saskatchewan. Eldeen has completed her Ergonomics Professional Residency Program.

Eldeen is committed to Occupational Health, Safety Concepts & Standards. Eldeen's commitment is demonstrated by her involvement as an advisor & consultant to various industries & Occupational Health & Safety Committees, as well as Government OH&S Capacity Strategic Planning Committees, & as a seasonal lecturer at regional colleges. It is also shown through her numerous memberships & positions in safety & health related associations such as with the Saskatchewan Safety Council (Industrial Safety Conference Committee), the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering (2006 – President; 2004-2006 - Treasurer/V.P./President elect), & Minerva (Board Member). Eldeen’s consistent attendance at Safety Seminars & continued education (Auditing Courses & Certifications, Occupational Health Consultant Courses / Designation) provides further opportunity to present & share her extensive base of knowledge & focus on continuous learning of the most current information & concepts.

Eldeen shares that passion & knowledge as an International Key Note & Sessional Speaker. She has been lecturing at the University of Saskatchewan since 1997, teaching the Accident Control I, Accident Control II, Fundamentals of Ergonomics, Fundamentals of Auditing & many enrichment seminars, as well as coordinating the Occupational Hygiene Course of the Occupational Health & Safety Certificate Program. Due to her commitment & professionalism, Eldeen has been chosen by Saskatchewan Workers Compensation to be one of their Preferred Health Care Consultants, delivering the Injury Prevention Modules, & is qualified to deliver OH&S Committee Training from the Saskatchewan Occupational Health & Safety Division. She has received the Saskatchewan Safety Professional of the year (2001) award presented by the Saskatchewan Safety Council & the Saskatchewan Chapters of the Canadian Society of Safety Engineers. She has been a YWCA Nominee of Excellence – Women in the Profession, & a nominee for the Athena Award (2003).


Bernard X. Klein Cert. OH&S, CHSMSA

Bernie is a Safety Professional that has been involved in all aspects of the administration, mechanical, electrical, inspection & construction realms. His career has spanned 35 plus years with a major Saskatchewan Crown Corporation before becoming an Independent Safety Consultant.

Bernie is a Journeyman Electrician & a Journeyman Mechanic Millwright & has obtained his Occupational Health & Safety Certificate from the University of Alberta (U of S Campus) & his Certified Health & Safety Management System Auditor Designation (CHSMSA) from the CEAA. He has been involved in Program / System Development & Implementation, Safety Perception Surveys, on-site Construction Services, Performance & Compliance Audits & has facilitated Workplace Risk Analysis for many companies across Canada & the United States. He has guest lectured for the OH&S Certificate Program at the U of S & is qualified to deliver OH&S Committee Training from the Saskatchewan Occupational Health & Safety Division.

Bernie is dedicated to making a significant difference in every endeavor undertaken. His safety goal is everyone going home at the end of the workday to enjoy their family, grandchildren & community.


Val Foulds MacLeod RegN, OHN

Val has many years of experience as an Occupational Health Nurse, Disability Claims Manager, Safety Supervisor in mining, & as a Program Facilitator. She is enrolled in the University of Saskatchewan OH&S Certificate Program. Her skill in instruction & facilitation is shown, as she develops & delivers some of the enrichment seminars for the OH&S Certificate Program. She is also qualified to deliver OH&S Committee Training from the Saskatchewan Occupational Health & Safety Division.

Val has experience & expertise in the Development & Implementation of Safety Programs, Orientation & Training Programs, Claims & Disability Management, Labor Relations, & Emergency Response Planning. Instructing courses for Accident & Incident Investigation allows Val to promote a strategic process for handling investigations using a consistent method for causal determination & analysis. Val has been involved with Safety Perception Surveys & Occupational Health Audits. She is a qualified Trainer for “Shifting to Wellness,” a comprehensive training program that optimizes health & performance in a balanced approach for companies scheduling rotating shifts, shift workers & their families. An effective background in administration & facilitation of programs for both management teams & workers strengthens her belief in synergy & teamwork.

Judy Malanovich


Judy is a Human Resource / Safety professional with many years industry experience in both union & non-union environments. Her specialties include human resources, performance management, communication & documentation, policy & manual creation. She has proven success in the development & implementation of industry leading disability & absenteeism management programs. She also has experience & expertise in the development & facilitation of middle & front line management skills training such as communication, documentation, conflict resolution... Judy has certificates in management skills, disability management, & harassment investigation & resolution.

Judy is solution orientated. Her strengths in organization, administration, program development & systems skills, ensures we have accurate, timely reporting, resource availability, & efficient project & office management. Instructing courses on a wide variety of safety & human resource based training programs allows her to share her expertise with employers, supervisors, & workers. She believes we never stop learning & through teamwork & training in safety, quality management, & human resources, organizations can become world class in every aspect of their operations.

R. Glenn Barned CHRP, CHSC, CRSP

Glenn Barned is a Professional Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) Consultant. With over 25 years of experience in OH&S, Glenn has worked with both public & private sectors, achieving their OH&S goals.

During Glenn’s diverse career history his efforts have translated into a reduction of claim costs by as much as 41%, a reduction of time loss by as much as 63%, & a reduction in assessments by as much as 23%, saving one organization hundreds of thousands of dollars & lost productivity.

Glenn has been a professional trainer for most of his career. Specializing in training assessment, development & delivery is a unique combination of skills that sets Glenn apart from most experts in this area. Glenn has received recognition through his training development & delivery in all areas that he has worked. Course evaluations for Glenn’s delivery of various training courses have confirmed his superior delivery with clarity, real life examples, humour, & his ability to involve the participants with an outgoing, interactive style. In addition, the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering has recognized Glenn with the 2005 Special Projects Award for the development & delivery of a unique management development course using OH&S as the training vehicle.

The Canadian Society of Safety Engineering has recognized Glenn as one of their “Safety Professionals of the Year”. The Canadian Red Cross Society has` recognized Glenn for over 30 years as a volunteer, as well as presenting him with an Award of Merit.

Greg Pozniak

Greg has worked for Pozniak Safety Associates Inc. part time for the last few years. He has been involved in the consulting & technical support in areas of Occupational Health & Safety & Security & is definitely an asset to our office. Greg is our resident computer expert, taking care of our computer technical needs & data entry, as well as the data & office security.

Dave Malanovich

Another valuable addition to our PSAI team is Dave Malanovich. Dave has served for many years in law enforcement, & in international aviation as a helicopter pilot. He is well versed in the needs & necessary components of effective programs to assist companies to protect their employees, & property.
He is a certified Critical Incident Stress facilitator & trainer. Dave trains & assists employers & their workers in Violence in the Workplace, & Drug & Alcohol Programming. He is instrumental in the development & implementation of sound security systems, development & implementation of security programs & the training of personnel.

Carl Gutek

We are pleased to add Carl Gutek to our network of safety professionals. Carl’s experience in teaching First Aid & CPR contributes to another area of expertise PSAI can offer our clients.

Carl achieved his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Saskatchewan in 2000. Carl has been teaching First Aid & CPR under the Canadian Red Cross for five years & under the Heart & Stroke Foundation for two years. He has first hand knowledge dealing with emergency situations originating from employment with the Martensville, Saskatchewan fire department for two years, which mainly involved medical calls, as well as being in law enforcement since 2003.

Amber Klein

Amber is gaining knowledge, skill and experience within the safety and human resources fields.  Her eager task orientated focus has been an asset to support the activities of all senior associates within our organization.  Amber is proficient in all aspects of computer and data base utilization and performance.  Her strengths are organization and system skills.
